What the heck is that permission called??!!!

Ok, so this is a very focused blog post, especially for my first return to the blog-o-sphere in a while, but I've gotten so much benefit from very focused blog posts that I had to throw this out there. From time to time, I find myself needing to specific a very particular Drupal permission in my access arguments for hook_menu. Well, if you didn't know - you can see the whole list by simply accessing your MySQL database and viewing the contents of the role_permission table.

If You Have the Means, Get Netbeans

The deeper I get into Drupal development, the more I depend on developer tools like code searching, debugging, code syntax highlighting, etc. Drupal is an amazing tool for developing websites, but unlike most custom scripting language sites - you're navigating a framework, which can be quite baffling at times. Knowing how to navigate your way around Drupal's infrastructure is critical if you have any hope of figuring out why that one scripted menu isn't appearing or why your custom form field values aren't getting to your submit handler.
